Terms & Conditions

When you visit us for the first time, we will show you round the setting - fire escape plan, toilets , where to log your car registration if you have travelled by car etc - please make a mental note of this important information. You will be required to physically sign in ( in the entrance lobby) at every visit - again, a Fire Safety measure - and request that you come and give us your child's names and pay - in cash preferably - on arrival. You will be asked to fill in a registration form with personal details - address, childs names and ages - etc - emergency contact. This form will be kept safe and securely on the premises in this format only, so that we have details should an emergency arise. Only staff can access these.

Whilst in attendance at Howbury Tumblers your child remains the responsibility of you the parent, Childminder, nanny, or person with responsibility for that child/ children AT ALL TIMES.

If you have a complaint about our services, please talk to your playleader or email Carole at [email protected]. If this cannot be resolved to your satisfaction please see the complaints procedure on the policies page

We also track every child's progress - this is a simple tick box for most children, measuring wellbeing and involovement -and a requirement of BBC Children IN Need, who fund our two support playleaders Lucy and Donna. If we are concerned about a child's progress - or you are, we can /will track them more closely, as this will be helpful to us - and you - in trying things to help them to overcome any difficulties. You can discuss anything you are concerned about at any time - we will try to help.

As a childcare setting we have an obligation to the children in our care - Safeguarding children is everyones responsibility and if we have concerns about a child's welfare we will escalate these and seek support and advice from Bexley Safeguarding Children partnership, and / or the MASH team . In this case we will tell you we are going to do this.

If we feel a child is in immediate danger we may contact Police, social services and the Bexley MASH team ( Multi- Agency safeguarding Hub) . In this case we do not have to inform you of our actions. Childrens safety and welfare remains our highest priority at all times.
