We are Howbury Tumblers- a welcoming, inclusive, not - for -profit play & learn setting located in Slade Green, Kent. Our engaging curriculum is supported by a team of qualified, experienced, and compassionate staff dedicated to every child's development.

In our safe and secure playroom and garden, children enjoy a wide variety of engaging resources that support learning through play. We believe that having fun is at the heart of early development and our environment is thoughtfully designed to nurture every area of learning. Our playroom features large play equipment for climbing, sliding and crawling, ride ons, a home corner, book nook, a baby area - where toys are tailored for our littlest learners-, small world play and sensory exploration as well as dedicated crafts tables, puzzles & games, and designated snack area. Outdoors, children can enjoy climbing frames & play house, cars & bikes and our musical and water walls, and much more.
Endless Daily Fun for Little Ones!
We offer a wide variety of creative and sensory activities every week to support children’s learning and development. Our activities are fully inclusive, catering to all abilities and - with our cooking activities- special dietary needs. Each session is thoughtfully planned and linked to UK & world celebrations, and a whole host of diverse themes - seasons, transport, nature, dinosaurs , harvest etc , which flow through the whole setting, providing children with rich and meaningful hands-on and multi - visual learning experiences. Supporting your child’s development
Here at Tumblers, we love making some noise! Every session we enjoy singing time with instruments, bubbles and dancing, to all our favourite songs and rhymes - and some made up ones which the kids and parents love !- It’s one of the best parts of our day and a wonderful way to bring children together in a fun group activity that builds confidence and supports social and communication development. Storytime preceeds singing, with books linking to our theme of the week.
About Us
At Howbury Tumblers we’ve been proudly serving our community since 2000, providing affordable, high-quality early years education. We are a parent-led childcare group, managed daily by trusted and familiar staff, overseen by a management committee of Parents & Carers. We nurture a warm and inclusive environment where families are actively involved in their children’s learning and development. We offer a variety of engaging, inclusive activities every session, from crafts, phonics and sensory play , and affordable family events in school holidays, with a commitment to keeping costs low. We for many years have worked closely with local community groups, with a goal of improving life chances and quality of life for our little ones and their families. We welcome parents to take part in daily routines, share creative ideas, and even join our management committee. We also support volunteer training and student placements, offering hands-on experience to help build skills and strengthen our community.

We sell a variety of hot and cold refreshments for both children and adults, including Dulce Gusto coffee, herbal and green teas, toast, seasonal snacks, crisps, chocolate, and pick & mix treats, all at very reasonable cost. Every purchase helps support our charity, with all proceeds going directly towards funding fun and enriching activities for our little ones.
