Our Services
  1. A Warm Welcome
We want everyone to have a positive experience at Tumblers and everyone can expect a warm welcome. We are happy to accommodate child minders and carers along with their children and will endeavour to provide different activities if you visit more than once a week Toilet Facilities We are happy to be able to offer toilets for both adults and children which are solely for our use. The adult toilets and child toilets both have a baby change unit , and the children's toilets - which are mini versions with low sinks and hand dryers - are directly off of the main playroom for peace of mind, although we do request you supervise your child at these times. We also have a large disabled toilet facility which is easily accessible and directly off of the main playroom.
  2. Children
Children will be encouraged to access a range of creative and cooking experiences at Tumblers - every week we will provide at least two, usually linked activities which are aimed at promoting childrens' learning and development. All activities are achievable across the age range and we will ensure all children can participate in all activities regardless of age, ability, dietary needs and so on. Please see our activity plan page for details of upcoming activities. Every child has the right to access a quality play and learn environment both indoors and outside, and you will find our garden area safe and secure and equipped with some great resources for learning and development. Our new mud kitchen will be a lovely asset to the many items we already have, and in the better weather we set up the garden area every day - you are free to use all our facilities at any time, as long as children are supervised
  3. Babies
We welcome babies to Howbury Tumblers of all ages and we have equipment for them to sit or lie on, many play resources for little ones, and we can heat milk and food as required. We also like to get them involved from an early age and will paint their hands and feet if you wish !!
  4. Parents & Carer's
All Parents , carers and child minders can expect a warm welcome from us as staff and other Adult visitors. We know it is really important for you to feel comfortable in our environment, so please make yourself at home and speak to us if you have any concerns. We are here to support you in your parenting role and will be happy to help with any problem or issue you may have, even if it is not to do with our group A listening ear, we are here for you should you need us. We will also encourage relationships with other Parents as we feel that a good support network of friends going through the same stages as you as a Parent can be really beneficial and important for some. We hope to make you feel 'at home' whilst you are at Tumblers and welcome any suggestions if you feel we could improve on this
  5. Refreshments
We can provide refreshments at a range of prices for adults and children - teas, coffees, herbal teas and hot chocolate from 65 pence for parents and cup drinks, fruit shoots, fresh juices for children from 30 pence. We also sell chocolate bars & crisps for a snack and make toast , with marmite or jam at 30 pence a slice. Fresh fruit is provided free of charge when possible, and there is access to water at all times. We can reheat soups or lunches for adults and children, just ask your playleader. The on site Café will be opening up in February 2016 for a more extensive selection of hot snacks. You are very welcome to bring your packed lunches with you, adults and children alike - we have tables for children to eat at and a highchair for babies
